To run the course you will need to:
1. Print the map
2. Download the MapRunF app (make sure its MapRunF not MapRun) for your phone from the app store.
3. Open the app and create an account (1 min job)
4. Select ‘Select Event’
5. Select the event ……
UK > North Yorkshire > Scarborugh >South Cliff, South
6. Select ‘Go to Start’ and the map is displayed on screen – your current location is the red dot, This is visible until you start
7. Go to the Start Triangle – The timer starts once the app registers the start location
8. Run all controls in order and back to the Start/Finish.Your phone will acknowledge each control visited and total your points
9. When you’re done you will be prompted to upload your results
10. Leave some feedback in the Facebook group!
11. You can see your result on the MapRunner Results Console, or a pdf is regularly produced. All available on this website.
If you have a Garmin (Forerunner 235 or newer) you don’t even have to take your phone with you. Just follow the guide below – This is the way for me, it’s superb and no need to carry a phone and auto syncs results on upload.

3. Open the app and create an account (1 min job)
4. Select ‘Select Event’
5. Select UK > North Yorkshire > York > GrovesNov2020 (Sorry for the constant folder changes, im getting it sorted out soon)
6. Select ‘Go to Start’ and the map is displayed on screen – your current location is the red dot, This is visible until you start
7. Go to the Start Triangle – 45 min timer starts once the app registers the start location
8. Run to as many controls as possible and back to the Start in 45 mins.
There is no order, just visit as many as you can.
Scoring is 20 points per control (All are lamp posts).
Your phone will acknowledge each control visited and total your points
If you are late back to the start/finish each minute you are late you will lose 10 points
