A local event an park of the EBOR summer series. Courses use a mixture of parkland and urban terrain. Expect fast running!
Rowntree Park was gifted to the City of York in 1921 by the Rowntree company, as a memorial to their staff who fell during World War 1. This means the park is a 100 years old this year!
This event will run in partnership with The Friends of Rowntree Park. The Friends are a group of local volunteers that care for the park, in partnership with the council, since 1996. They always welcome new members and you can find their website here: https://rowntreepark.org.uk/
We’re expecting over 50 of you at Rowntree Park and look forward to seeing you all!
The start will be inside the southern gate of the park.
Please cycle or arrive by bus if you can, as there is not much parking around.
There is a small car park for Rowntree Park, which can be accessed via the diversion down Butcher Terrace (this is a bit of a pain and the alternative options below may be easier).
Alternative parking in the residential streets around Butcher Terrace, or on the opposite side of millennium bridge on Hospital Fields Road. Please park considerately.
