Score events are where controls are placed randomly in the forest. How many controls can you find in the allotted time?
Choose how much time you would like, 40 or 60 minutes. All controls are worth 10 points each. If you are late back you will be penalised 5 points for every minute or part minute late.
40 Minute Score (22 controls)
Controls 61 – 68 are set for beginners and following this sequence will give a beginners level course of about 2.6km.
60 Minute Score (30 controls)

The easiest way in is from the B1222 from Sherburn in Elmet or Cawood.
Turn onto Scalm Lane then follow the orienteering signs into the forest.

Mixed woodland and plantation, criss-crossed by forestry tracks, footpaths and drainage ditches.

Enter via Racesignup by end 18 Dec 2022 to avoid late entry fee. Entries after this will be subject to late entry fees, £8 senior, £4 junior, and this will be subject to map numbers. Electronic dibbers can be hired from Registration. If you can, please book in advance. Advice on what to do can be obtained at Registration.
Starts
Start and Finish are adjacent. Punching Start between1030-1200. Turn up and go when you want at any time during the start window. Don’t forget to punch start and finish. Courses close 1300.

Safety
Although a thorough risk assessment has been conducted by the organiser, orienteering is an adventure sport and you are taking part at your own risk.

Results will be posted on the Eborienteers website as well as here, once the event has occurred. Please allow 24 hours.
