Starts between 6pm and 7pm. Courses close at 8pm. Entries via Fabian by cop Thursday 24th June.
Thanks go to the Friends of West Bank Park for allowing us to stage this event.
Location: - West Bank Park
Fixture Date: - 30/06/2021
Location
West Bank Park is West of York and can be accessed from Acomb Road (B1224), New Lane, Hamilton Drive or James Backhouse Place.
There will be the local Bowls league in full swing, so there will be toilets and refreshment available.
Parking
There will be a full bowling club agenda starting 6-45pm, so please try and avoid the car park to the west of the park on James Backhouse Place. Please use local street parking along Hamilton Drive, New Lane or Acomb Road nearest options. Or cycle, walk or get the no 1 bus from the station.
Terrain
West Bank Park has a mix of managed woodland and formal park. The courses go in to the residential area to the East and the longer courses go out on to Hob Moor. Hob Moor does host a small herd of (pretty tame) cows so be aware of them. At this time of year the vegetation is pretty extensive so if you go off piste a machete as well as compass may be handy. I have planned to avoid the more jungle like areas. In the residential areas and on the route to Hob Moor please take care when crossing the roads, particularly Hamilton Drive which is the main east-west route through this area.
