Well done to Steve Whitehead who has retained his British Night Championship title!
A few words from Steve about the event on Ilkley Moor:
What a great event! Fresh powder snow underfoot (they should have moved the Olympics to Ilkley) and great views of the lights of the town below in an at that time unflooded Wharfe valley. Excellent planning gave us a real physical and technical challenge. I knew I’d have to be careful but still messed up number one – not the best start when you’re defending your British title but I settled down to a clean run after that with lots of clambering over boulders and wading through streams and peering over edges to spot an easy descent. Not to mention home-made cakes at the indoor prize-giving.
